1. About The Listening Space
The Listening Space (“TLS”, “we”, “us”, “our”) offers sound meditation sessions, immersive listening experiences, breathwork sessions, workshops, retreats, private sessions, collaborative events and related experiences in Amsterdam and other locations.
By purchasing a ticket, participating in a session, visiting our website, or engaging with our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
2. Nature of Our Sessions
The Listening Space offers experiences focused on sound, deep listening, meditation, breathwork, relaxation, awareness and personal exploration.
Our sessions are intended to support presence, self-inquiry, nervous system regulation, creativity, relaxation and connection.
TLS sessions are not medical treatment, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or a substitute for professional healthcare.
We do not diagnose, treat or cure medical or psychological conditions, and no guarantees can be made regarding personal outcomes or experiences.
Participants remain fully responsible for their own wellbeing, choices and integration before, during and after participation.
3. Participation & Personal Responsibility
By participating in a TLS session, you confirm that:
you participate voluntarily and at your own responsibility;
you are physically and mentally capable of participating;
you will inform TLS of any relevant medical, psychological or physical conditions that may affect participation;
you understand that breathwork, meditation, sound and deep relaxation practices may evoke emotional, physical or psychological responses.
If you are unsure whether participation is suitable for you, we strongly advise consulting a qualified medical professional beforehand.
Participants are responsible for making informed decisions regarding their participation.
4. Contraindications & Health Conditions
Certain sessions may not be suitable for individuals with specific physical or psychological conditions.
This may include, but is not limited to:
severe cardiovascular conditions;
epilepsy;
severe asthma or respiratory conditions;
recent surgery;
pregnancy;
psychosis or severe psychiatric conditions;
bipolar disorder;
severe anxiety or panic disorders;
use of certain medications;
other conditions that may be impacted by breathwork, deep relaxation or altered states.
TLS reserves the right to refuse participation where we believe participation may not be safe for the participant or the group.
Participants remain responsible for disclosing relevant conditions truthfully and accurately.
5. Optional Truffle Microdosing & Expanded-State Experiences
Some TLS sessions may include the optional use of legal psilocybin-containing truffles in low (“microdose”) amounts or other expanded-state experiences offered within legal and responsible frameworks.
Participation is always voluntary and entirely the responsibility of the participant.
TLS does not encourage irresponsible substance use and cannot provide medical advice regarding interactions with medications or health conditions.
Participants are responsible for informing themselves about potential contraindications, including interactions with medications such as SSRIs, Lithium or Tramadol.
If in doubt, participants should consult a qualified physician before participating.
Participants acknowledge that immersive and expanded-state experiences may involve intense emotional, psychological and physical experiences.
TLS reserves the right to refuse participation in any session or experience where safety concerns arise.
6. Booking, Payment & Cancellation
Bookings are confirmed only after payment has been received.
All prices listed are in Euros unless stated otherwise.
Cancellation by Participant
Unless stated otherwise for a specific event:
cancellations more than 7 days before the event may receive a credit or transfer;
cancellations within 7 days of the event are generally non-refundable;
cancellations within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable.
Tickets may be transferred to another person only with prior approval from TLS.
Cancellation by TLS
TLS reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule sessions due to illness, insufficient participants, venue issues, force majeure or other unforeseen circumstances.
In such cases, participants will receive:
a transfer to a future session;
a credit;
or a refund where appropriate.
TLS is not responsible for travel, accommodation or external costs incurred by participants.
7. Arrival & Participation During Sessions
Participants are expected to arrive on time and behave respectfully toward facilitators, venues and fellow participants.
TLS reserves the right to refuse or end participation without refund in cases including:
disruptive behaviour;
intoxication;
aggressive or unsafe conduct;
violation of boundaries;
behaviour that negatively impacts the safety or experience of the group.
Participants may also be refused participation if facilitators believe participation could pose a physical, emotional or psychological risk.
8. Liability
Participation in TLS sessions is entirely at the participant’s own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TLS and its facilitators are not liable for:
injuries;
emotional distress;
psychological reactions;
loss, theft or damage of personal belongings during or related to participation in TLS sessions or events;;
indirect or consequential damages;
decisions made by participants before, during or after participation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted under applicable law.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, materials, texts, music, recordings, branding, visuals and session formats provided by TLS remain the intellectual property of The Listening Space unless stated otherwise.
Participants may not reproduce, distribute, record or commercially use TLS materials without prior written permission.
Audio or video recording during sessions is generally not permitted unless explicitly approved.
10. Privacy & Confidentiality
TLS respects the privacy of participants and aims to create a safe and confidential environment.
Participants are expected to treat personal stories and experiences shared by others during sessions confidentially and respectfully.
Personal data submitted through bookings, forms or communication channels will be processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.
11. Photography & Media
TLS may occasionally capture photos or short video content for atmosphere impressions, marketing or documentation purposes.
We aim to do this respectfully and sensitively, especially during intimate group experiences.
Participants may inform us in advance if they do not wish to appear in photos or videos.
12. Retreats, Collaborations & Third-Party Events
The Listening Space and its facilitators may occasionally contribute sound meditations, workshops, ceremonies, retreats or other experiences hosted or organised by third parties.
In such cases, certain practical aspects of the event — including venue operations, accommodation, catering, transportation, scheduling, safety procedures or additional facilitation — may fall under the responsibility of the hosting organisation or retreat provider.
While TLS aims to contribute professionally and responsibly within these collaborations, participants acknowledge that TLS cannot be held responsible for elements outside its direct control.
Participants remain responsible for their own wellbeing, choices and participation throughout such events and are expected to follow both TLS guidelines and any additional guidelines or agreements communicated by the hosting organisation.
TLS reserves the right to refuse or discontinue participation of individuals where safety, wellbeing, group dynamics or professional boundaries require this.
Additional agreements, waivers or intake procedures may apply for certain retreats, private journeys or immersive experiences.
13. Force Majeure
TLS is not liable for delays, cancellations or changes caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including illness, extreme weather, venue issues, government measures, technical failures or force majeure situations.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Dutch law.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
